We visit every time we’re in Westport. The last couple of occasions i’ve found the service and atmosphere isn’t the same as it used to be. We were told no cocktails today because “we are too busy and there’s no staff”. fair enough - only 2 barmen working, which seems crazy. the food is good standard, but service was slow and drinks took forever. Out the back used to be very nice but no music now, and just a bit soulless.
We came in for a pint, then asked if they would be okay to switch on the Grand National. There were a lot of us, and the staff including Kevin, Sarah, Gemma and Kate gave us a warm welcome, chatting and having the banter whilst at the same time so professional … they were so great that we actually returned the next day to have lunch. Kevin makes a great espresso martini! Seafood chowder is the best in Westport! Will definitely be back! Thank you all for making our visits memorable.
Went there for a dinner, booked this in advance and the food was superb , very delicious and the seafood was really fresh . The view is also nice . Dinner by the sea . Definitely would recommend it. Staffs are very nice and accommodating too.
